Hell’s Gate: Mbuzi ‘n’ the bush moments!

They say all work with no play makes Jack a dull boy.  This year, we set out to have some fun and while at it, strengthen team spirit. When a word come about the planned team building, I had a re-run of ‘The office’ episodes starring Steve Carell – a mockumentary comedy on a group of typical workers. Not that I expected it to go down the Steve Carell’s ungovernable kind of style, but hoped we wouldn’t drop the ball. We all see or read of team building and are filled with different expectations. It is one thing to see it on TV but a real-life situation might not be the same.

Team building has been tagged lame before, but it doesn’t have to be. In fact, it is one of the most lucrative means of developing a teamwork culture.

We all agreed on Hell’s gate in Naivasha, aiming to strengthen teamwork, positive work relations and creative innovations among us. We have previously participated in paintball, Climbing tower, Basketball shoot out, Obstacle racing and Bubble soccer at Chaka during a team bulding day out. This time we wanted something different. In our checklist, nature walk and cycling were highly voted for and of course stopping for ‘choma’ was in the agenda. We settled for Hell’s Gate. Take a look!
